Pasadena up2date in the News

A couple of noteworthy news items occurred this week. With the rise we have seen in energy prices, more and more articles are being written about energy conservation and how homeowners can take advantage of inexpensive “do-it-yourself” repairs to the much more complex and costly. Look for continuing updates in this area as consumers look to save money and reduce their green footprint. This should be on the required reading lists for all Californian’s.

Green Homes & MSN Real Estate

The Pasadena Blog’s contributing author Deena Willis was recently featured in the Real Estate section of MSN. The subject article 5 tip-offs that a new home is an energy hog featured an interview with Deena in which she drew upon he experience as an Eco Broker and provided the author with several suggestions homeowners can initiate to increase the energy efficiency of their homes. Many of the suggestions in the article were also experienced first hand and were specifically detailed in a post which explained energy audits and the inspection performed by an energy rater.

up2date Hosts the Carnival of Real Estate

The Carnival is a culmination of articles written about something near to our heart, real estate. It is hosted by various blogs throughout the industry, moving from week to week. Articles are submitted to the host blog during the week and then published based upon the subjective view of the host as to their entertainment and relevance. It is a forum for aspiring writers, experienced professionals and everything in between. The posts submitted are an invaluable source of education, opinion and discussion. We are grateful for the opportunity to host such an important event for the benefit of our peers and consumers who wish to keep abreast of what is happening in the industry.
